Open positions


Two PhD positions with full scholarship support (tuition and stipend) to start in fall 2019.


Selected candidates will work with the CRISES research group and the UNESCO Chair in Data Privacy, within CYBERCAT-Center for Cybersecurity Research of Catalonia.

Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) is located in Tarragona, Catalonia, a UNESCO World Heritage city 90 km south of Barcelona, on the Mediterranean coast. URV ranks among the world's top 150 universities in computer science, and as the world's 78th best university under 50 years of age.

The topic of the PhD theses will be on security and privacy technologies, touching on cryptography, anonymization, machine learning and explainability.


Candidates should have completed or be about to complete by summer 2019 a Master's degree in computer science, mathematics or telecom engineering, with excellent academic record.
