Indicators

In the ARES execution agreement, annual performance indicators and average target values for each indicator were established. The target values were described as average annual values (that is, at the end of the programme, each indicator had to be above the annual average over the five years’ duration). At the end of the five-year execution period of the project covered by the agreement (Dec. 2012) the target values for almost all indicators had been reached and even surpassed. Regarding PhD Dissertations, the continuous work crystallized in the last years of the project and in the following years (when our Ph.D students defended 18 theses).

We requested an extension for a 6th and 7th year (up to September 30th, 2014) with very specific objectives, but we kept making progress in our opened research lines, publishing articles in journals and conferences and defending PhD Theses. The table of indicators has therefore been updated to include the 6th and 7th years (in which the annual targets are no longer in force).
